Are clip on hair extensions tacky?

I was just wondering if wearing clip-on hair extensions is tacky. I'm talking about the kind that are a full ponytails, NOT the cheesy, fluorescent coloured kind that you find at Claires. You just make you hair into a bun and clip it on. Are they as tacky as wigs (unless your bald)?Are clip on hair extensions tacky?

No, I got some really cute ones from sallys and love them, everyone thinks they are real, and i just died my hair slighty to make them match. You can get real hair from sallys for $80
I don't think they're tacky as long as they're real human hair, not the shiny plastic kind, and match your hair colour really well.
No not really. If they look real, you won't even notice them.


I had clip in extensions and people thought it was my real hair. :)
