My daughter is 12. I let her do two blonde highlights. She thought this was amazing. My sister is a cosmetologist, which is good because I know she wouldn't do anything to damage her hair. Whatever it was isn't permanant. Girls at this age love beauty, it's inevitable. It is a personal mom decision, but as long as it doesn't harm her hair, why not? Summer is coming too, so she could try it w/o worrying about what the kids at school think. I give my kids a little every now and then. Doing these special things they will never forget is priceless. To the other posts- its not always about self asteem ';girls just wanna have fun'; .

Clip In hair extenstions are a fantastic way to achive longer hair, with out the damage and problems that more of the permanent one can do. But they will still needed to be blended with your daughters natural hair.


There is still that worry with all the magazines and t.v showing a fake beauty of women to such young girls and also adults. I think, if you know your daughter can see that natural is BEAUTIFUL! Then clip in extensions can be great fun...

Ask yourself and her why she wants it, her hair is undoubibly fine, she most likely is trying to fit in with a peer group's ideals of ';pretty'; as she likely isn't at the ';boys'; yet.


It starts bad habits letting girls get into vanity products young, glad my mother didn't encourage me ^^ and it's bad for health, damages your natural beauty =) (not so much hair extentions)





Plus saves sooo much money for the ipod she expects for her birthday ;P
Clip in hair extensions won't damage her hair any more than putting it in a hair elastic or hair clip would. So don't worry about that. If she wants to wear them because she likes long hair then why not? It's really just a matter of image so if you don't want your 12 year old walking around with fake hair then tell her no. Or let her only wear them once in awhile and not every day. Or not to school.
If they are clip in I don't se any harm in that. At least she is not asking for the ones that you sew into the hair. I say let her get them and have some fun!
No, im 12, and i no from experience that all girls care about at that age is boys, even if they have awesome grades.

Clip in hair extensions DO NOT damage or harm your hair in any way. I would let her get it done. Its not too expensive, and she may love it.
I am a parent and I would say no. She is to young for hair extenstions. Have her grow her own hair.
Only if she pays for them. And if she has no money to pay for them id say ';guess you gotta wait till you get a job at 16 : PPPPPP HEHEHEHEHEHE *snicker* '; haha.
